Q. If I'm on Getoffice at an Internet cafe/library/public machine can someone go to the browser history and get into my account? Will the cookies that are stored be a security concern? No, Getoffice uses cookies to keep track of a user's session. The cookies do not contain any confidential data such as the user's username or password.

Email Q. Can I access other email accounts with Getoffice? A: Yes. Like Outlook, you can set up Getoffice to read from any POP3 accessible email account. With one simple setup, you'll have one portal to access all of your business and personal email accounts. No more logging into multiple services, searching multiple accounts, or missing critical emails. Please keep in mind that AOL and Hotmail do not support POP3 accounts and this feature will not work with those mail providers.
Q. I already use Microsoft Outlook. Do I need Getoffice? Yes. Getoffice can replace Outlook or be used in conjunction with Outlook, depending on your needs. Most users find they no longer need Outlook because Getoffice provides all the same features and functionality of Outlook plus a whole lot more.
Microsoft Outlook is a PC based software program, which means you will have to purchase a copy of this software and install it on your computer. Q. Does Getoffice synchronize with Outlook? Yes. Getoffice can be used as a replacement or as an add-on feature to Outlook. With Getoffice, you can synchronize your calendar, contacts, and tasks with your existing Outlook information. Once synchronized, Getoffice can replace or be used in conjunction with Outlook, providing access to your entire office online anywhere, anytime in a safe, secure environment.
Q. Does Getoffice protect my emails from viruses and spam? Yes. The Getoffice email system provides an anti-virus service to block viruses and prevent them from reaching your inbox. All affected emails are automatically put in the ‘Quarantine' mail folder and deleted after a short period. Getoffice also provides a spam control service that redirects all spam emails to the ‘spam' mail folder, which is purged periodically.

Document Manager Q. Can I restrict people from viewing/editing/deleting shared files? Yes. Getoffice enables a group administrator to define user rights on all the sections of the group. A user can be assigned any combination of read/write/delete/create directories privileges on a group's shared files.
Contact Manager Q. Can I import contacts from another contact manager/database ? Yes. Getoffice provides its users with a contacts import tool that allows for data to be imported from a csv (comma separated value) file.
Q. Does Getoffice synchronize with palm and other handhelds? Yes. Getoffice can synchronize your calendar, contacts, and tasks with your existing handheld information. However, you need to first sync this information with Outlook then transfer it to your handheld system. A direct Getoffice-handheld synchronization tool will be available to our customers in the near future.
Calendaring/Scheduling Q. Can you share calendars with people not using Getoffice? Yes. Each group in your Getoffice account comes with a public calendar that's accessible to anyone inside and outside your account. Q. Can I view other people's schedules?When scheduling a meeting with other group members, you can check the users schedules to locate the most convenient time for the meeting.

Q. How does the password recovery process work? A: To retrieve your password there is a link 'forgot your password?' on the login page. Enter your username and answer the hint question you have set up at sign up. Your password will be sent to your existing email address you provided at sign up.
